A red ribbon to #saveafghanwomen
After the arrival of the Taliban, Afghan women were rescued by NOVE ONLUS because they were wearing a red ribbon as a secret symbol for recognition.
Today the red ribbon is a symbol of freedom and salvation.

Two non-for-profit organisations, a chocolate factory, a start up and an artist. Different people with different backgrounds but with a common cause: support the difficult situation that Afghan women, children and vulnerable people have been facing since the arrival of the Taliban and it's only getting worse.
What we call the Festive season, it's turning into a nightmare for a population which is already facing starvation. Temperatures will drop minus -25 degrees. We are all witnessing the worst humanitarian crisis with an estimated 18.4 million men, women, and children in need of life-saving aid.
We believe that we can all #saveafghanwomen.
Sometimes, even a small action can make the difference!

The non-for-profit organisation has been working in Afghanistan since 2012, running development projects and humanitarian assistance for women, children, and persons with disabilities.
In 2012, after years of experience in international development cooperation, three women asked themselves: “How can we be more effective, how can we give more?” To answer these questions with action and facts, they founded Nove Onlus.
Nine is the symbolic number of universal love, which translates into social responsibility and the desire to do good for and through humanity. It is the realisation of an evolutionary path, the months of pregnancy that are the prelude to a new birth. It symbolises the intent and purpose of conceiving projects of value and bringing them to fruition.
Nove deals with socio-economic, sustainable and generative development. To this end it carries out professional training projects, stimulates and initiates employment opportunities, support for micro-entrepreneurship and basic education. Nove is also committed to humanitarian emergencies and works mainly with women, children and disabled people.
Nove promotes the creation of a solidarity network without borders that pursues respect for human dignity and social justice.
Nove, thanks to its supporters, has grown and consolidated in terms of staff and structure, thus managing to multiply the number of projects and of those who use them.
A company located in the beautiful Sicilian countryside that offers fine, guaranteed and certified chocolates. A company with a “sweet” heart that loves to support the international community by joining charitable initiatives.
An Italian manufacturer committed to turn T-shirts into Art, an idea that comes from the desire to express art in motion, transferring the work to a bare and minimalist support: a t-shirt… or rather, an arT-shirt .
Graphite has created this beatiful artwork that symbolises the red ribbon used by Afghan women to escape the Taliban regime.
Cecilia Bellini, aka Graphite, was born in Rome (b.1983) and raised through Rome and the Umbrian countryside.
Her hand draws to expand borders of reality through sketchy lines and vibrant colors that reflect both fragile and intense emotions. Cecilia’s path finds its goal in harmonious contrast, that is to say, the constant search for emotions, using decomposition and synthesis to look for a beginning or an end.
Although she grew up in a family of architects and journalists, she considers herself self-taught. Suffering from dyslexia, she approached drawing as a medium to express her emotions visually.
Art comes to life
Whoever wears the art-shirt becomes the very support with which the work escapes from the confines of a frame, climbs over the cords, leaves the museum and walks along the road with us. Art comes to life, and it does so in a unique way.
